  1. what ive seen from my research:
    generator = high power demand (charging an ebike battery, powering a high demand computer, etc)
    solar = small appliances (fridges, phone charger, lights, etc)

    ideally you want both.

  2. The cheapest method would be the generater and a. Power strip, done total cost would be $515.00

  3. Moral of the story. Get a gas generator and bluetti solar panel setup. And mount panels on the roof!

  4. Im still not sure which to go for right now to start with. A generator is loud, needs gas and oil, a solar system is expensive because you have to not only buy the panels, converter, but need a rack system that is quite spendy because it also needs a ladder to get to the roof, (looking at minimum 2k for that). The power station is great but it also needs good solar panels to keep it going when boondocking and of course doesnt work as well if you live in rainy areas. Ugh, I hope I can get this figured out. I am thinking just a battery but that also has to be charged up every time it hits 50% capacity. So much to learn, so many decisions to make and so little time left to figure it all out!
